Research Integrity

Our commitment to research integrity and publishing ethics

Our Mission

Wiley is dedicated to advancing the reach and impact of knowledge, clearing the way for researchers and the wider community to successfully develop and share their research.  We are committed to unlocking human potential by publishing research and related content that advances knowledge, reflects diverse perspectives, and improves educational outcomes.

A commitment to research integrity and publishing ethics is at the heart of our mission and foundational to the communities we serve.  Collaboration is essential to research integrity and to trust in  the research record. We work closely with everyone involved in the research and publishing ecosystem to develop and implement sound editorial policy and publishing practices. We educate and provide resources to encourage proactive identification of research errors and potential misconduct. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), we are dedicated to adhering to COPE’s Core Practices in our publishing processes and in resolving research integrity issues.

Contact Us

Integrity and ethics concerns about our journals should first be reported to the relevant journal editor, and contact information can be found on the journal homepage on Wiley Online Library. Concerns can also be submitted to Wiley using this form. Queries received will be directed to the Integrity Assurance & Case Resolution team.

Research Integrity Leadership

The research integrity team develops and implements policy and best practices across our publishing workflows from point of submission to publication.  We also share our insights with the scholarly community and lead critical research integrity discussions across the industry.  Through our Integrity Assurance & Case Resolution team, we investigate and resolve research integrity concerns, correcting the scholarly record where necessary. In addition to the leadership and managers listed here, our research integrity team includes several full-time research integrity auditors with responsibility for case resolution.

Mike Streeter, Director, Research Integrity Strategy & Policy

Mike leads our research integrity strategy, working with a dedicated team focused on strategy and resulting policy development.  He champions strategic alignment for research integrity across our Research Publishing organization. Mike is a member of COPE Council and amplifies our mission through frequent industry collaborations and events.
